Gura Portitei is a village with some reed huts of Lipovans, here the water of the Razim-Golovita is connected with the Black Sea, about 11 kilometers away from Jurilovca.
You already find it on the European maps in 1710. It has aFishing station, a camping, chalets and a restaurant.
It is a peaceful, isolated place searched for by Romanian intelectuals and the startpoint for those who want to visit the seabirdreserve Periteasca-Leahova north of it.
